pitt cooking - burners
Comments (169)We are a countertop fabricator. We have a customer asking about installing a PITT system. We use granite and also carry all the brands of Quartz. Our concern is the heat on the countertops. Quartz is more sensitive to the heat than granite. Assuming the burners are well insulated for the heat in the countertop, we are also concerned with the flame or radiating heat coming down from an oversized pot on the stove. Comments (69)Beautiful Monomoy! Love your subway, very different! Ok so here are some updated pictures. Whole kitchen, iphone pic so I could fit it all (there is also a large pantry room to the right which I will post in the final reveal) and here are some clearer ones with my proper camera You can see the floor a bit better here and I think this is the tile we are going with (without the white bit at the bottom). It's a Mexican hand painted tile. This is the 2x8 size. Debating wether to go with 3x6 or this one? Thoughts? So we still kind of hate the floor, I think it's because I miss the warmth of wood. Seriously considering ripping it out and laying hardwood. I hope I grow to like it!!!...See MoreGoing to cry...is this counter installation acceptable to you? Seam in
Comments (56)I only mean that the guy doing the counter is responsible for the faucet hole placement. He’d have to simulate an installed faucet to see how far that handle goes back. I’d be surprised to see a regular counter guy looking for the faucet handle clearance. It’s not their job to spec the faucets or double check the handle or make sure the sink depth leaves enough room for the faucet and all it’s parts. The KD is responsible for that stuff. If the homeowner is the KD, there ya go. I recently made this mistake. It was my fault. My Rohl faucet handle hits the window trim. But the powder room faucet not centered on the sink, that was their mistake and they had to replace that counter. We can agree to disagree....See MoreCambria Lakedale Quartz Pictures?
Comments (86)For anyone still considering Cambria Lakedale, we just had ours installed and I love it. We chose a matte finish which is a much softer look. Our fabricators, Wave Granite and Marble, were easy to work with and allowed us a lot of input on the design layout. The installers were careful and precise, and even moved a large piece of quartz which had already been mounted, because we thought it needed to be adjusted. All in all, they did a fantastic job, and I couldn't be happier with their work. I wanted to wait until our cabinets were painted (TruCustom Cabinets, also great) to post pictures, because the black really makes the color in the quartz stand out. The pictures still don't do justice, though. Anyway, hope this helps anyone considering this design....See MoreLinda Le
