Match new White Oak Floors to existing Red Oak in our home addition?

Hi,

Looking for some design advice or expert opinions,

We are nearing the end of our home addition and renovations and in the new entry and great room/living room we added new wide plank Character White Oak floors. On the other side of the house and upstairs we have traditional red oak floors that had been stained medium/dark brown.

We had always thought we would stain the new white oak to match the darker red oak stain but now that we see it all down the natural wood tone is so nice and airy that we have decided we want to lighten the old side as well.

The issue we are having is that the we did not realize to get the look we are hoping for will be very difficult in the red oak. Is there a stain or sealer (maybe Bona Nordic?) that will make the white and red oak look similar?

OR should we stick to the original plan and go darker because it will blend better and also the darker stain is more traditional and less trendy?

This is the inspiration and the look that we love:

New White oak floors with clear coat - oil vs water

(Seems to have gotten more yellow with the clear coat)

Old Red oak floors:

(looks too pink)
