HELP with bathroom layout and ideas...
Comments (9)Just joining in here - but what if you put the shower on the opposite side of the room? Walk in and see your beautiful shower on that back wall instead of the toilet. Instead, have your toilet on the right (from this angle in the image) I guess it would be the left in the room. Could have a door or just be tucked into a little nook. Comments (3)You are going to want 3 feet width for toilet space to be comfortable. I would recommend a minimum of 30" for a single vanity. Double vanities dont normally come smaller than 48", some people prefer more counterspace and want a 60" double vanity. I think Ikea has a 40" double vanity, but there is pretty much no counterspace. Comments (24)Ha ha, don't like my boulder in the shower? Yes, I agree the bench is more practical Good idea about niches, it keeps everything neat. I am not a big fan of towers, as the space can use some interest in the design. You have enough space for a linen cabinet and it can be smaller in width. Visually it will look better with the vanity top from one wall to the other, even if the cabinet is in front. If you feel a tower is right, consider having on the left side of the vanity as you walk in. If you hang the vanity off the floor (not have the cabinet to the floor) the bathroom will look larger. I like modern also with a touch of classic elements. There are so many options for bathroom design. Comments (5)Don't use a chaise lounge to illustrate furnishings in a living/family room, unless you actually intend to use one, and to use the size and configuration illustrated. Chaise lounges may be one of the most useless furniture inventions of all times, unless your family and friends like to sit on one and play kneesy with one another. One can never fill all the seats indicated on a chaise at the same time with adult humans unless there are some very odd games taking place. Far better to use two 3-seat sofas and 2 lounge chairs arranged in a square "U", with a coffee table in the center, or something similar. The chaise lounge lovers will be along shortly......See Moreemilyam819
