home bar furniture and design
So I have just moved into this home and have decided to use this flex room as a bar. I brought the existing bar from my previous and would like to keep it for awhile. I am having a hard time situating and deciding on the type of seating and maybe a co sole or cabinet for this room. I would like it to be warm and inviting. I would like to entertain in there or sit with my iPad and a glass of wine. I welcome any and all ideas. Thanks!

Comments (2)I totally get what you are saying, and it is a concern. With the recliner love seat I would have that facing the front wall of the house. It would actually go where the architect's drawing of the couch is. TV would be directly opposite, on the wall / front of the house. Comments (27)OP here. we decided to order a sectional from pottery barn. the shorter side measures 89 in while the longer side is 152. alternatively we could order one slightly smaller sectional 89 x 111. which size would be better. thanks a bunch....See More- PRO

2 years agoIt looks like you might be able to move the bar to another place. If you only need to get to the front of it you could potentially put it under the TV. You could also place it on the wall where the chair currently is. If you do one of those you should be able to do two chairs or one small sofa. 2 years agoMargarita Bravo thanks for the ideas. Yes, I have since moved it on an angle into the corner. I also bought a loveseat for the room and will get a chair also. I would eventually like to get the bar cabinet you showed.

2 years agoWe have a similar sized room we use as a tv/bar room. We had a cabinet maker make a bar in what was the closet.

2 years agoMaybe you could try adding another chair, some artwork, and add some stuff above the bar if you move it to another space. You might be able to place it across from the TV and have the chairs on either side of the window. Then place the TV on an articulating arm so you can pull it off the wall and have it face wherever you want it to.
