should kitchen table and chair match cabinet color? I
Comments (1)You already have a lot of wood there with the cabinets and floors. The photo also looks like it is a dark space. Therefore, your 60" table with chairs should not be wood, should not be dark wood, and should have two objectives: (1) contrast against the sameness you have there already, and (2) brightening up the space if possible. I would look for painted wood table and chairs in a color to contrast, yet go with, the sage walls, maybe a barely-there yellow? Here are some colorways for inspiration. Get paint samples and hold them up in that space before making a decision....See MoreWhat lights should I use over kitchen islands and dining table?
Comments (18)the crystal one is pottery barn, the others you can find all over. for some cost savings, try Lampsplusopenbox. great deals. https://www.lampsplusopenbox.com/chandeliers-category/island-usage/search.htm this one is nice too. 75watts for each bulb. that should be decent light for the island area they have this one too. not bad at $367. I've ordered a few from them. selections are limited and they change daily. otherwise, try regular LampsPlus, and here on Houzz or Wayfair. https://www.houzz.com/products/lunar-3-light-cascade-pendant-no-767-clear-glass-shades-prvw-vr~111334315...See MoreWhat color table should I buy in a dark kitchen?
Comments (7)Thanks, everyone for the ideas! I am not quite ready to take the plunge on a white table (I'm worried it will be too bright and not fit the warmth of my space). I agree that the room is too dark. For now, I purchased a light-colored table cloth and will experiment with lighting. My hope is that this will change the feel and give me the confidence that a white table is the right way to go :)...See MoreCan my blue kitchen be pretty, or should I change?
Comments (96)I love the Blue Note paint color with that countertop on the Island! If it were me, I’d paint the hutch Blue Note on the bottom, and paint the top white to match the rest of the kitchen. I think it would look crisp and sophisticated. Dark blue blinds and or framed picture/s over in the dining area, and blue vase with flowers over by the kitchen sink would balance things... and the rest of the details are icing on the cake. Enjoy your project... you have a beautiful kitchen!...See MoreRelated Professionals
