I purchased a three-in-one plum tree from Raintree last year. It has grown nicely and was well labelled. I weighted down the branches with rope and a stone to make the tree more open centered. Looks like it may be budded for fruit next year. I transferred some chip buds ( my first attempt at chip budding) to other plums that I have, so we'll see next spring if that was successful. I have been grafting scions onto existing apple and pear trees for a few years now. My first reaction when these grafts fruited was that flavor must be affected and in decline when a graft. (Mollie's Delicious on Jonathan had no taste; Vista Bella on same tree was o.k.) However, this year has changed that --Honeycrisp is one of four grafts on Hawkeye Delicious and is wonderful. The Grimes Golden on that tree is also great, and expecting great things from Florina in a few weeks. One thing I think I've learned is to not let the tree overbear.

Surprisingly, the link you provided for the site already has the name of this complex hybrid. Kind of like asking "What is the color of NapoleonÂs white horse?" I had to sneaker. Sorry This is a complex hybrid developed by Booman Floral nursery and is the first patented protected cultivar. The parentage is unknown. This plant was developed for the sole purpose to be grown almost like a houseplant. This cultivar is resistant to salt build up and fertilizer and can be grown almost like a regular houseplant. Plus, contrary to all other Sarracenias and their hybrids, this particular cultivar doesnÂt require dormancy and will grow year round. Visited California this summer and bought this plant at Home Depot. CouldnÂt help buying my ÂCobra Nest and I was just passing by. Stop to take a rest and out of curiosity went inside the store and there they were. Some of you may be familiar with Booman Floral nursery. They typically package their plants in a plastic sock or back with names like "Octopuses Plant", "Ninja Star Plant", and so on. They are some of the best providing a wide selection of CP.

Hi Noted you got lots of suggestions?? lol I only grow the giant blue form and find they offset quite readily so have never tried the seed. Would guess it takes at least 5 years from seed to flower?? Anyway good luck maybe somebody will jump in with some help?? gary

I think that getting a grafted tree is much better even if it is container grown. I would look for a tree grafted to a rootstock that boasted resistance to wet feet and root rot problems, It is in the winter that many people have their problems with to much/little water. I live in Cincinnati, zone 6, OH and my best 2 trees are in ground planted. My best on put on 60-80 feet of twig growth between October 2014 and May 2015. These trees are under glass in winter
