AGGGHHHHH!!!!! When the heck did polished brass become "gold"? This drives me CRAZY. I have lived through true "gold faucets" - typically in bathrooms and typically VERY expensive from Sherle Wagner. They were 24kt gold plated and often featured swans as faucets for vanities and tubs. VERY OTT! I would not use polished brass with polished chrome as the chrome is so cold looking. What does work is polished or brushed nickel faucets with polished brass pulls. That is what I have in my own kitchen.

Shiloh S - we are about 2 weeks away from having our Rohl Georgian Era bridge faucet installed, will post photos at that time. Ours is unlaquered brass. Are you able to visit a retailer that carries Rohl? Ours at Mission Kitchen and Bath in Pasadena, CA had a display board so we could see the various finishes. Our sales person even showed us photos of a client’s unlaquered brass faucet taken two years after installation which helped us with our decision. IMO the unlaquered patina on your pot filler would play well with English gold whereby not matching it. But I like mixing metals and not matching too much. I ended up going with the Rejeuvenation Hardware Massey pulls in Aged Brass, not unlaquered brass. My reasoning was that I thought the pulls would each patina a little differently depending upon use.

I can't answer your question other than to say you don't need to match the faucet with the pulls. Aren't your appliances going to be stainless? Do you have pendant lighting - if yes, what finish do they have? Many people opt for a faucet in a stainless steel or polished chrome finish either because they match the sink and/or appliances, or because those finishes are practical, or because they are timeless. If you absolutely want a brass finish for your faucet, it does not have to match identically to the "tumbled brass" of your pulls. Find a faucet you like, and it can be a brass finish that will be close enough.
