What blue paint color would look best?
Please help! We are removing the shingles from the front and adding siding to the front and above garage. We removed a massive hedge on the side of the driveway and we are wanting to flatten that area and lay down brick. I am also looking for ideas for the hedge on the front lawn. I would like to remove it eventually. We are doing the siding and exterior paint first. My husband would like a blue paint color but I think gray blue would look better with our red tile roof. Any advice would be appreciated!

Comments (41)Oh I'm so sorry if I seemed negative. That wasn't my intention at all. I worried after posting that I had been clumsy with my wording. I think the painting is very pretty; the colors seem great; love the frame, and the softness of the painting. The only minor thing that caught my eye was the large brownish flower, a shade that makes me think of dried or wilted flowers. But I'm a plant/flower fiend, so that's a personal problem! Honestly, I was just trying to say that if you're on the fence about it, I wouldn't keep it. Not because everything needs to be sentimental or historical or original, but because you'll see it every day, and you want something that brings a smile to your face for one reason or another. If it will do that, great! If it won't, the wall can always wait until you find something that will. I couldn't tell from your post whether you loved it or not. What you've done so far, including the painting, already makes it feel lighter and is a great improvement. Comments (10)The paint companies have apps you can install on your phone. Take a photo of the brown rock and it will match that color the best it can and offer suggestions of coordinating colors. I wouldn't do blue siding.
Bring home samples of siding so you can place it on the front of your house and view it w/your roof.
I'd do a soft white, charcoal/black, copper accents.
These colors
I love the wrought iron color. you could do that on the siding
Or, leave the stucco in the front, do that in the creamy white, and do the charcoal siding or shingles around the garage door. do a wood garage door
you might be able to have those tiles painted.
Here's that color roof w/a green. (I don't care for this one. that roof you have is just too "in your face" for this color combo
this is basically what a blue color would look like against the tiles. just, NO.
You could do a soft white siding and accent w/this blue on the door, or trim color
If you like this soft grayish blue,
Try a Platinum color w/the darker charcoal for the trim
or use the white for the trim color
