Comments (27)Mantis: I've always liked the pattern on Navajo Pony. Good information about the possibility of weak scapes. Not a fan of staking if I can help it......Debra: Nordic Soul is a pretty purple. I like the white edge.....Nan: Look forward to seeing your double orange from Gossard. I am picky about how the centers look on doubles. The perfect double to me should look like a carnation - evenly spaced center petals. One of the best I grew for consistent centers was Dutch Yellow Truffle. You know how much I liked your Krakatoa Katie...........David: I like your description of "shocking orange". Will check it out. New Covenant looks great too...............Maryl...See MoreBest Pink Daylilies of 2021
Comments (43)Mantis, some of the pinks I showed are new for me this year and I can't comment much on performance.....but I will try to take the time to give my evaluations from now on since I agree with you that it's helpful. I was rushing to get the photos up. As for Pinewood Strawberry Moon, I wanted to get it and found it after much searching. Strangely, it went completely dormant and underground in September so I hope I didn't lose it. I did get it's pollen and have several crosses with it to start over the winter and sell. For a new plant, it bloomed very well and seemed vigorous so I don't know what happened. As for Boss Hogg, it is fairly new and taking it's sweet time doing much, just like RFK. Both started as single fans and RFK is still a single fan going into it's 3rd year. I've moved it twice hoping that would help. I'm frustrated by it's lack of vigor and increase. Boss Hogg bloomed ok but all the foliage you see in the photo is actually from plants around it. It isn't much of a plant yet....See MoreBest Red Daylilies of 2021

Mine performs the same as yours, wonderfully. Sherry: Red Volunteer. It is indeed good for a shady area. Kate: Christmas Greeting, showy noid. Celeste--Marietta Warrior, Scarlett Pansy, Kenora Wildfire. David: Fire on the Mt. Persian Ruby. Nancy, Mama Drams, Insider Trading. Brave World Bombay Silk, and excellent flower in every way. Cherry Treat, finally after many years had a good year. Worth the wait, what a color! Cherry Cheeks Christmas Day. Always well budded, colorfast. Comments (14)Debra: Look at the edge on Marlee Jane. That is a wonder. Any trouble opening for you?............I don't think I have anything now I consider coral. I had Coral Majority but it did not survive the Arctic Freeze this February. South Seas is one of my old favorites and it did survive. I think of it as orange, but that's me...........Brad: That seedling of yours out of Smoky Mountain Autumn is promising, and I always look forward to seeing SMA itself..............Celeste: Road to Hana is new to me and it looks lovely. I'll look it up. I grew Bittersweet Destiny 3 different times and always loved the color. Very unique. However I could not keep it going for more then a couple of years each time, so I finally gave up on it. Must not like pot culture because you sure get colder then we do..............Maryl...See Moreceleste/NH
