Same cultivar/different color bloom - different growing habits

If a cultivar of a annual is the same (minus the color of the bloom), how much variation in growth have you guys observed. Granted some of the foliage on some may be different (dark green vs light green). In observing this years annuals, for example, the bright orange sunpatiens has 2X more blooms than the same in purple. This observation is not based on a single annual but multiples of each.


If it blooms a tad bit differently, would it make more sense to classify/categorize it in a different listing in the world of gardening. Or the listings are mainly going to be based on similar growth habitat in size but not bloom performance
