Front door and window trim

Hello! I'm having my front door replaced in the spring. I have two questions. Should the inside of the front door be white with the rest of the foyer or the color of the door on the outside? I have cherry hardwood floors beyond the foyer. And second, should the color of the window trim outside match the front door or the garage door color? I hope this wasn't too confusing! Thank you in advance!

How about a picture. With regards to the interior color, if they can stain it a good match to the floor and light isn't an issue, I think that is a warmer look. On the outside stuff, kind of need to see what the exterior looks like. That said, there is no one "right" answer.

Thanks for responding ro my post! The front door color will be iron ore (dark grey with brown undertone) and the garage doors will be mocha brown with a grey undertone. So the interior color could be white or iron ore. It's hard to see the colors inside. The walls and foyer floor have grey undertones.

So I hope you are convinced of how beautiful your home is. My favorite change is the wooden door. It draws you into the home. The paint tone change works, but there is strong argument here to consider landscape professionals. Both are expensive, and you will have to choose what’s the most important to you. I want to put the word in for a slight landscape change in the front right left corner that leads to the front door. There are so many simple ideas online to get you started, and since the grass and what you have now is so well established, the grass can be cut out of where you put the plants. Drive or walk in a neighborhood that you like to get an idea of what you like. These pictures can get you started.

are you repainting the entire house or just wanting to change the trim? I'm seeing something more modern, like matching the trim to the siding color or choosing something similar in color. it doesn't appear to be the style of trim that you want to enhance, it appears to be minimal/utilitarian so should really be blended away as much as possible. Choose your fun bright for the entry door, and maybe the garage door. what about turquoise? :-) The real focus should be landscaping. TBH the white cover up you applied too the photo is distracting and obscures the details of your home. i think it's more difficult to recommend colors as a result.

We ended up with Shoji and Urbane Bronze but think the general rule follows. I really had a hard time choosing whether or not to paint the soffits dark or just the fascia. Since we decided to not trim out windows, kept the garage door white, etc., we felt the dark soffits would add dimension. Now I am so glad we did! Think it would have looked a bit flat for me with Shoji soffits, but think dark soffits can look very heavy and clunky depending on other choices you are making and the style of the house. In general you will paint soffits either whole house color (white duck in your case) or whatever trim color you are using. Hope this helps! Sorry didnt have any whole house photos.

I think that Iron Ore would be a bold statement for your foyer. If it goes with your wall color...go for it! However, the white looks very pretty, as well.

With regards to front door color, I think a nice contrasting color would work there.
