Ok. Here it is. Decided to try hanging it myself instead of waiting on someone. Just got it up half hour ago, after much cussing and stomping feet. lol For once in my life, I measured well. The shelf has a keyhole hanger and it was a PITA to figure out where to put the screw in the wall because the shelf slides down over the screw head. Well, it was for me anyway. Nearly had it hung, but the right screw was 1/8" off(!). The shelf wouldn't slide down over it. So I took it out, tried to move it that 1/8". For some reason, Dad's old drill wouldn't stop running and flipped the screw into the air and out of sight. No kidding. I could NOT find that screw and yes I had only bought two. :( I pulled the stove and two cupboards away from the wall but still could not find it. So back to the hardware store I flew, came home with FOUR new screws and a brand new drill too! The guy at the hardware gave me a tip on how to move the screw over without it falling into the original hole. Use a drill bit to drill a hole beside it. I did that - it worked. Had to noodle it one more time because the shelf was off a hair from being level, enough to bug you, but I got it. Question. Is there something I can anchor the plates with just in case they decide to roll if I have another stomping fit? Isn't there some type of putty for holding dishes securely? And yes, the pot holders are a little too long for the hooks but I'll change them out later. The shelf is at the right height for reaching across the stove so I don't want to raise it.

Oh fun! A nice change of pace from all the people painting everything white (or gray). I would think something within the same warm spectrum - a lighter, goldish-beigy version of one of the colors in the kitchen floor perhaps - or go dramatic contrast with a color at the opposite side of the color wheel (blue green?) I only suggest that latter one because there appears to be some sort of light blue green in the kitchen floor and the painting. Actually I could see the same white of the walls carried into the kitchen cabinets - would give you continuity and white/red is a classic vintage kitchen combo - always been fond of it. But painting early tomorrow? Hmmmm. Guess Id revise that to allow time for testing color samples AND proper cleaning/prep to ensure a good result. Thats most of the work right there.

I love the purple tub! I would maybe do purple vanity that matches the color or a darker purple? Walls I would paint white, mirrors I would either sand (if they’re wood and have them be a light wood tone) and new hardware! Reason I’m thinking no black is bc everything in the room is light, the tub the floors. I wonder if cream painted mirrors could tie in the floor? And in between the vanities you could do hampers/ garbage can (but trendy nice one like wicker or something). I would keep chrome as the hardware. Just some ideas, maybe a new shower curtain

gray green walls are working against you. the floor is good. the pinkish can be made to look "a light wood" which is really what it is. depends on if you want to go the interior design route w surface changes or major changes /alterations to cabs. I wouldnt alter them until I did some other things. below: parchment color walls/ removing some wall cabinets/ a cleaner white shade for counter or find a granite....
