Bedroom and Bedroom Closet Paint Question
Comments (10)I need to change my response. I could have sworn that our master closet was the same color as the MB (SW Blonde) and I know that it was supposed to be, but today I looked at the closet and the walls and ceiling are both SW Dover White! My husband changed a lot of the paint colors on his own (GRRR!--he's afraid of color) and this is one change that I missed, but after thinking about it I'm glad that it is light color as we only have one small window in the closet so it would have been dark. We have 3 other walk-in closets and they all have SW Dover White walls and ceilings and don't match the rooms that they are attached to....See MoreShow me your ceiling lighting in master bedroom, please!
Comments (11)I completely agree with lynninnm and les. I hate overhead bedroom light fixtures and any place we have lived I have immediately replaced the ceiling light, if there was one, with a fan (with no lights). We use the fan year-round. Ceiling lights, no matter the wattage, are cold and harsh and you need additional lamps in the room anyway. We have night table lamps which are similar to the size we have on living room end tables and a floor lamp in the sitting area of the MBR. Warm lighting is so much nicer than a cold overhead light, imo, so enjoy sleeping with a fan and scrap the ceiling fixture....See MoreTray vs. flat ceiling in Master Bedroom (vaulted an option too)
Comments (59)@njseventyfour I meant put the two adjacent in the corner - it looks like your chimney is to the right of that first window, correct? Couldn't you put the second window to the left of the remaining window? Might make for a nice spot to sit....See MoreHelp to choose a ceiling light for a master bedroom
Comments (9)@N Kay The ceiling is 9' high. Can't have a decent chandelier. The pendants are for reading in bed. There will be enough light from the ceiling light about 2000 lumens. There aren't many interesting flush mounts. @calidesign Thanks. Yes the light portion is 6" but the whole gets lit when turned on. It sounded like the 19" is a diffuser. Other than that, do they go together? I ,like the pendants. Finding a flush mount has been hard....See MoreA R
