Struggling with front door color

Hello. First of all, I am not restricted on any colors, just to be clear. I am having trouble deciding a paint color for my new fun front door! My hours is like a brown/tan brick with beige siding. We are removing the storm door and replacing it with the door also attached. I do not want to stain it. Id like something more bold but timeless. Any feedback is appreciated! I was thinking BM curtis salmon but friends of mine don't like it. :( Hardware will be black.

How about a bright color? I like the salmon, but it won't really pop with the other colors around it. You could do a much brighter pink, or a teal would look really nice.

@kayozzy The Benjamin Moore color Curtis Salmon is pretty bright pink itself and then i see SW Dishy Coral (pic attached). Such a tough decision but i am confident once I land, i will be extremely pleased with being unique !

My house is gray, trim is white, mudroom door is white and front door was green (just repainted black). I would paint the mudroom door either the siding color (putty) or the trim color.

I'm so glad y'all like it! I love it! It's a happy color! Not what I had originally picked but I think it works with the super white siding. The painters were a nightmare. I'm going to have to redo the front door at some point because they did such a terrible prep job. But it's over. I'm so glad they're gone. Lesson learned. Don't go with the cheap painter you don't know. Go with the expensive painter you know will do a good job! Does anyone have an opinion on the big bushes (Nanda) on either side of the porch? I'm thinking about giving them the ax because they're stringy and I dont like nandina. But it goes against what my sister has always told me " Don't get rid of anything green!" I was thinking about putting flower beds there. But they would be low.....

Hi there - thank you for posting! For some added curb appeal, definitely update the color of the garage, front door and two peaks in the front. Make the peaks a fresh, bright white like PPG's Delicate White. The front door and garage door would benefit from a nice, rich navy/gray - like PPG's Silver Blueberry. Best, Meghan

All the same color because it's essentially one in the same element. In other words, you can have a door with no side lights but you can't have side lights without a door. That's why it doesn't make sense to paint the side lights a different color from the door.

I have to agree with your friends - I do not love the Custis Salmon. If you are interested in something on the orange side, look at https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/color-overview/color-palettes/color-families/orange-paint-colors. There is also a section of the website for reds, which would include pinks - but pink would be my last choice. I think with your brick you will be better off leaning orange. Or green or teal as the previous poster suggested.

Well, its your door, and your house. Pick the color that makes you happy when you look at it. What anyone else thinks, isnt important, as long as you love it. I dont like the salmon either, and would rather see it a pretty teal or turquoise, but, I dont have to like it. You are the only one that has to like it.

Here are some I think would look nice.
I like the dark option but added some more fun colors also :)

I don’t think the salmon works because it makes your brick look even more yellow than it is. What colors make you happy? What fun color do you enjoy wearing? You might go with a bright lime green, or orange, or one of those gorgeous blues posted above. Paint samples on poster board and prop them in front of your door. One suggestion….have your sidewalk power washed so that is looks fresh and clean when you paint your front door!

I like sajjy's color suggestions of robin's egg blue or something similar with your brick. The SW Refuge looks really nice, too.

This is a Craftsman style door and needs the bold colors found in the originals. The best orange-toned recommendations need to be sampled. With your brick, these tones are a great choice.
