Andersen 100 Windows

Looking at Andersen 100 black casement with SDL grids. My hesitation is I’d like wood interior, but if I do white SDL interior, not sure anyone but me will notice.
Could also consider Andersen 200 for the front windows in the house in order to have wood painted interior in front living areas.
Think the 100 black would look good here?

Not quite a "modern" style home. I would look for something in the darker earthtones or an architectural bronze.

Earthtones would definitely be the safer choice, which I'm more comfortable with.

I found this home that is chicago brick like mine, with black windows. I just love the pop of the black windows, but totally different style home. I was looking for assurance to go black, but don't know that anyone would think it would work with my style home. Thanks!

Price point windows are generally not thought of as a "quality product". The 100 Series from what I know is a basic builders grade window, and will not be very high quality.

I don't really know about the 200 series sturdiness issue. In general, the E and A series are Andersen's "luxury" products, and the 400, 200, and 100 series are the "best, better, good" products in the non-luxury category. Maybe you have a showroom near you where you can try the various product lines? Bear in mind that with windows, you really do get what you pay for. While the 200 series has the advantage of a wood interior, I would be a little wary of the vinyl-clad exterior which doesn't tend to perform as well as the composite-clad. That being said, the 16' 200 series sliding door may use different materials due to its size - it would be worth asking your window rep. If you go with the A series door, which seems like a good choice from a performance perspective, your plan to use the A series windows near that door and a different product elsewhere is a good one. If you can't swing A series windows everywhere (and yes, it would be much more expensive than 100 series windows), I think the mixing and matching is less of an issue if there is some physical distance between windows of different product lines, even if they are on the same elevation. You will probably be happiest in the long run with putting the money into the large door rather than getting a cheaper door in order to have everything match.

We're using 100s as the baseline for many homes. We've had a great 25 year history with Anderson and this product is competitive with vinyl pricing. The next level we work with typically is double this price. "If you go with (any product) make sure you follow installation instructions to a T." Any product. Windows, doors, tile, appliances, etc. We purchase windows from an installing dealer when ever possible. It might cost more or surprisingly less but prevents the finger pointing. Random independent installers who don't read manufacturer's specs are common. Your GC?.

I agree the earth tones (to match my home trim) would for sure be safe. I still want to think that black windows would work. Question - this metal trim piece around my front windows seems permanent. Regardless of what window color I choose, I believe it needs to be painted. See what I mean? It matches my home trim right now. This might be the decision maker, if painting it to match windows is the way to go - then all of a sudden I have a very thick black window rather than the thinner lines I like.

If, by metal trim, you mean the lentil above the windows at the brick, that can be painted in a matching color to the windows before or after the fact. I would do the prep before and possibly the prep and paint before.

For the record, architectural bronze is nearly black. Most will think it is from the street. If you are replacing the window, paint them up in a couple of different colors and see what works. They are coming out anyway.
