It sounds like you are talking about an arched doorway. They do make doors for these openings and if you can afford them that would look best. we have a double sized arch in our house and the previous owners installed french doors and filled in the gaps with plexiglass. I did not love the look at all but the price of custom double arched doors was prohibitive so we put in hanging doors instead.

If you dont want the arch getting the wall reframed for a rectangular door will look better than just using some plexiglass to fill in the gaps like what happened to us.

Thank you, you’re right the regular door doesn’t look the best. I’ve tried to find arched doors, but they are all custom. I’m now considering hanging barn doors that lock. Here is a picture of the arch.

That looks quite wide. It would certainly be a custom door so a surface mount barn door will maybe be cheaper. If you want custom doors they will need to make a jamb etc. Barn doors don’t provide any privacy so not sure why you need a door.

The same open doorway is in the master leading to the master bathroom and that’s what I want and door for. I’m thinking two barn doors with a locking mechanism could be the answer.

Not sure where you live but i always frequented house salvage yards and you can always find an assortment of odd doors. Also try craigslist.

I can’t tell if the opening is wide enough for a double or a single door. If it were me, I would frame out the opening as Hallett suggested. If you still want to maintain an arch for consistency, you could do something like this.
