Paint Design Dilemma Home Decorating

Please help with paint colors

Looking to paint my two story great room (that also connects to the upstairs hallways which don’t have too much light). I’m looking for a light beautiful grey from Benjamin Moore. I tried Grey Owl and it looks too blue on my walls. Floors will be dark wood. I am trying to steer clear of browns and beige colors but rather looking for something “clean” and airy. My foyer will be painted white.

All grays have an undertone. You say you don't like the blue and don't want brown or beige. The only other options are red and green. Gray Wisp leans green. If you go lighter that might help. Maybe you want something that is more like an off-white. You could try Classic Gray, Intense White or Pure White. Although the last two colors have "white" in their names they are clearly grays. Do not try Paper White as that definitely has a blue undertone.

I personally was thinking a light grey, white trim. Then the tan brick is ugly to me and was thinking maybe painting the brick white. As you can see, I need help. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Here's what I'd do. change out that front door. it's faux victorian style and doesn't work on your style home. Do a door something like this (not necessarily this color, just the style), remove that one pair of shutters (you don't need them) and remove the dated looking inserts on the garage door windows and add some iron carriage hardware to the door other softer blue combos. (If you have an HOA, check w/them first. Seems like every color house is that buttery yellow) If you're in the tropic region of the state, anything goes. If your front faces north or east, you could do some shade loving ferns/begonias, and bromeliads for some color. I'd remove that boxy shrub under the window. I'd prob switch out that red mulch in the flower beds and do a black/or brown bark. a lot of flower beds also use the white rock If you go to the SW ColorSnap app, you can upload a pic of your house and try out colors. Thank you Patrcia! The landscaping does need some work and the rosebushes have taken off this year which might be some of the problem. I had questioned the shutters on that window as well and wondered if installing a window box there would be a better idea as the house is so plain. My initial thought was to paint close to the brick color or a little darker, but I've already gone through a few paint samples and nothing looks good to me. Do you have any suggestions on a BM or SW paint that would look good? The reason I thought the black garage door would be a good ideas is because it may modernize the house a bit. I love my BM Balboa Mist which is a warm grayish color. And the BM paint of the year is a very soft green...Something Mist or Mist Something..looks very nice in the photos I've seen. BM Swiss Coffee is a lovely warm white.

Im thinking to paint everything white but I don’t want it to look to sterile. Any advice? Was thinking possibly Chantilly lace?

I have white dove in a south facing room and navajo white in another area with high ceilings. both are nice. the first is a cooler color and the second is a warmer color.
