ha ha I didn't notice that! No. It's a normal rectangle. I purchased the sofa table when we first moved in. I wanted to start seedling plants for the flower garden, I was starting. Then a few days ago, like.....two years later...I ran across the end table. I think the pieces are very odd looking. Not particularly well made, no age to it...and just sort of BOHO-hippie. :0) I'm curious about their past.

I saw something similar by a company called Ellery Furniture, I think it was.

It's close isn't it. And...maybe the nail head trim is an addition that makes it more lodge look....?

Yeah, it seemed to be portrayed as a cool look but I like yours much better. The legs are similar though. It's a mystery. :)

Try posting on the antiques and collectibles forum. There are a couple of people over there who are good at identifying old or odd pieces.
