Art work above bed suggestions
Comments (2)Perhaps something like this? (link below ...) OR perhaps simply create a grid (maybe six or eight or even ten depending on size) of your own photographs. Consider taking a walk around a local historical district of your town OR perhaps a local garden or nice area -- photograph a collection -- trees? cool doors or architechural elements? THEN -- take the photographs and have them printed in sepia (brownish) tones. Mat them alike in creamy white and frame in dark chocolate brown. Hang in a tight grid above the bed .... Comments (55)I love the first and last stripe! I like the way the line draws your eye up and the last one is simple enough to not compete with the rug or the armoire. the one I picked was tough; there were so many that had your colors in them at Horchow! That one seemed to go more with your rug (which looked red, gold and brown on my monitor!)because it didn't have any green, but in the end I was thinking it had a subtlety that might work. having all of the colors represented is probably your best bet, though- it definitely brings your eye all the way around the room in a nice way. IMHO, you can't make your walls look too tall. Drawing the eye up is almost always a great thing. And I think some height will balance out the weight of the armoire as well. but only you can see how things look in person! clearly you have great taste!...See MoreIs there a rule of thumb for art size over king bed?
Comments (3)Not sure how much space you have between top of headboard and ceiling, but you could do several prints vs 1 large print, or skip the artwork all together above the headboard and place 1 or 2 prints and/or even a mirror above the nightstands. ( if you have)...See MoreI would like art work above my bed that has orange and possibly blue
Comments (13)I could see a more natural feel for this room being complimentary and ideas over headboard are below as well as for accessorizing Think about how you want the whole room to feel before adding more In sitting area, try high boy on other wall with mirror above and if you added a bookcase on the far wall and chair under window it will be a cozy little reading nook. A Kilim rug would be lovely there to ground the space. Another idea, if you have another spot for chair, you could make that area more functional with a vanity....See MoreCelery.
