i think the combination of the wavy/textural element along w color of tile makes this a do-over. Probably a smooth ceramic creamy colored tile would be better. Maybe someone can find merit in leaving it....and I usually think people's impulse at questioning things just installed is unwise but I find this to be difficult. Maybe in a bit of time..no harm ....can it grow on you?

It's very difficult to really see the nuances of whites from a computer monitor, and especially from your photos which are very dark. In contrast your backsplash is lit up so brightly it almost glows. Perhaps you can change the undercabinet lighting, it looks to be LEDs in a very blue tone. Puck lighting with halogen bulbs is more yellow, which may help. You could also dim the U/C lights and turn on the overhead recessed lights to see how that affects the lighting/color.

I agree with Diana it’s all about the lighting. Your lighting is on the blue/white side, try finding a warmer light (2700).

Could be bigger issue. You have TAN tile floor, not hardwood, and bright white tile with warmer white cabinets, on warm granite. Maybe "nope".

Flooring should have been united to hardwood, and why two granites, which I assume was a budget issue. When things are very "open"? Answer is "unify".

A change to warmer lighting may help.........a very PALE beige for grout may help. Operative word is MAY.

You MAY need a softer white for the backsplash.

I don’t like it, and I’m not sure lighting changes will help. I would definitely try the lighting change first, but I would be ready to change the tile to a creamy simple untextured subway.

After seeing the new photos, I agree that it's the backsplash that's throwing off the whole look. You would get a better overall feel if you changed it to a warmer white. I'd say go for a dark b/s, except you have a brown counter top in one area and black in the other, which would make it very difficult to do.

I’m no color pro but if you decide a do over, consider looking at soft taupe glossy smooth subway with creamy white grout. Look at it with floor, countertop and wall paint. The white has no real tie into anything other than door trim and ceiling. Just what I see anyway.

Tile splash selection was a mistake in both areas, as was the decision NOT to unify flooring. Apologies in advance.. Too much going on, lack of unity.......and it is very hard to be in warm and cold palette simultaneously. Woe......so sorry. and wish you had asked at the start. Truly do.

Sorry but IMO bacsplash is chosen to work with the counter and not try to match whites in totally different materilas . IMO all the lighting should be LED 4000K that mimics daylight 2700 is way too yellow. I also would suggest a tile with no texture and there is no reason for both areas to have the same backsplash

Floor countertop cabinets are all warm and the backsplash is cool sterile white. I don’t think lighting will fix.

The lighting in the cabinets, and i think in the cans, is warm. The lighting under the cabinets and in the pendants is extremely violet/blue cool. For sure you should change the lighting first to be all warm and see if it helps. I don't love the backsplash but don't think it's a disaster and would probably live with it.

Yeah, I think the white is a no go. It doesn’t coordinate with anything else. Maybe some tile pros can chime in with some suggestions, but I think you should look beyond the white or cream subway tile.
