Whoa, Belflowerd! You have dug up an old post. I cannot tell you the colors on the initial Kingma house pictured, but I CAN tell you what we used and it is close. For the lighter color, we used BW Shaker Beige and for the contrasting shingles, BW Alexandria Beige. We had not planned this, but the Shaker Beige matched the garage doors nearly perfectly...something to think about. Also, while I love the results, if I had to do it over again, I would choose an even darker color for the shingles for more contrast. I love standing seam metal roofs. Unfortunately, your house sits up so high that all you can see is a small vertical section of it, so it looks like a mansard roof. That detracts. I would not do white, but a warm, light grey would be nice. And not light green for vinyl siding; that would just look cheap.

I love the dark house it is a nice combo for your house. I agree black or charcoal trim and I would replace the railing with a glass and steel one in black or have that one painted black. Next spring you can get to work on the landscaping. As for style a nice contemporay house.

Dark Bronze. Somewhere between black and brown--dark bronze. The color of tree bark--but I am still open for suggestions as I am in the deconstruction stage. I am drawn to dark colored houses with dark trim. The only thing that has been determined are the Anderson windows with dark bronze trim.
