Is there any way to change the ceramic tile colour?
Comments (3)The grout can be colored, and your local tile store has the supplies. Though the results aren't always great, going with a darker shade of a similar color is more successful than going paler or changing from [say] a brown to a blue. But I'm a little skeptical that there's any paint that will last long on floor tile: could be wrong, and I'm not a tile pro, but the non-porous, non-reactive nature of tile makes it hard to coat....See Moreis this too much? any ideas for items on this console entry way table?
Comments (23)Scrolling through the photos my first thought was it would look nice to have a plant or flowers for some softness. The table is pretty ornate so I'd keep the top simple and less. The last photo is better balanced. I'd actually lower the flowers a few more inches in the vase....See MoreOur Wonky House - Any Ideas For The Exterior?
Comments (8)Front door will be a new, black, two panel, no window door. When we redo the porch, we will add a staircase going forward and a walkway to the street. We will also add an awning. Back deck: the original plan was to expand the deck and do all wood composite, but we're considering eventually putting an addition on the house and we aren't sure where/how we'll do that. The deck is perfectly functional and well built, so we're just refinishing for now. But, we may expand the deck along the whole back of the house later! thumbs up...See MoreHas the pandemic changed you in any way?
Comments (43)One thing we've learned and experienced, and I hope others have too, is that there is a panoply of choices for video communications, all of which are incredibly easy and flexible given good internet connections. We have friends all over the friggin place, including abroad, with whom we've been in more contact than ever before since we can't visit them, as we normally do. We have regular sessions with friends and far flung family too, some multiple times a week. As individuals continue to get their shots, we will continue these sessions anyway because they provide more frequent and more enjoyable contact than visits or phone calls. Just to be complete, in no particular order, we do video visits with WhatsApp, Apple's Facetime, Google Meet, Zoom, and Skype. I'm sure there are others. What we use depends on the location and preference of the other parties. The quality of all is about the same, usually excellent. All are free to get but a few have time limits. WhatApp, Facetime, and Skype do not. A friend in the East has a work-related Zoom account so that's "free" and unlimited for us to use....See MoreHU-187528210
