Do you like your beadboard backsplash?
Comments (46)Wow! Found this discussion a year after it was going on and it was very helpful! We're remodeling our kitchen now, it is small (8 X 10), I'm getting new cabs in "cinnamon spice", and a granite counter top that is a speckling of browns, tans, gold-ish colors with black specks (I have no idea what the call it). I have an exposed cement :( chimney stack that we have decided to tile over with sheets of 2 X 2 tumbled white/off white marble. I was really not sure on back splash and we were thinking tile - but I thought of bead board last night and think it will go really well if painted the "off white/pumpkin" Laura Ashley color I found....See MoreBeadboard backsplash - help me choose a paint color

Comments (2)Most who get stainless counters opt for the integral backsplash of at least the 2". Many opt for the 6". Putting beadboard above that should be fine, but I wouldn't forgo the integral backsplash with stainless at all. It's functional....See MoreBeadboard back splash substitute?
Comments (10)I know Waterworks has beadboard tile because I'm considering that myself. They have a smaller/closer bead and one farther apart. Just took this pic on Tuesday. I think these were 9" tall. My mother in law had the 4 or 5" backsplash of her countertop material and then did painted beadboard years ago and it still looks great. Her cooktop is on a peninsula though so there aren't those splatters but I considered doing that as well. For some reason I get the counters super dirty but I'm not really dirty when it comes to the backsplash, I have no idea what my secret is, lol, my old backsplash hardly ever got dirty. I wouldn't hesitate to do the painted beadboard on the backsplash but I only like that look mixed with the countertop short backsplash....See Morelucky998877
