'oily' stains on cotton - detergent?
Comments (11)Dawn dish detergent (I use the yellow one) works pretty much everytime for me even if the garment has been through the dryer. Just pour it on the stain, rub it in gently with your fingertip & let sit for a few minutes then wash in warm or hot water on normal cycle with regular detergent (I use Cheer powder). If Dawn is not available, I've also found that Spray n Wash Stain Stick applied right before washing works better than the spray pretreaters. I've even used the stain stick in conjunction with Dawn on some of the heavier greasy stains. Those new Tide Stain Release Duo Pacs work really well for stain removal too. Just pop 1 in with your laundry & regular detergent & you're good to go. With 2 boys (age 15 & 5) + a husband who thinks he should get twice as dirty as the kids, these are now standard with pretty much every load. I have seen a decrease in the number of items I have to rewash because I didn't remember to pretreat : )...See MoreChoosing detergents, assistance requested.
Comments (17)@ dave1812 The fact that you are happy with a "very nice" washer that doesn't work as advertised and the fact that you would prefer messing with your hoses instead of contacting Samsung to have them look at your machine tells me that you probably knew from the beginning that this was an issue on your end. That's why you reacted so negatively to my suggestion that you hold Samsung accountable for your heating issues. I didn't think that calling Samsung for service when your machine wasn't working as expected would be considered "erroneous" or cause you to label me as a "know it all". You will also recall that this thread was not about your problem - you hijacked this thread to make it about you. I don't recall a single post from you in this thread where you made any attempt to address the OP's issue or offer assistance. At least some of us try to help people instead of coming here to complain. Next time you have an issue, I suggest you post your own thread regarding your specific problem instead of hijacking someone else's thread and going way off topic. Then you bite off the head of people who try to help you. Good luck....See MoreYour favorite detergents right now
Comments (28)I think my crown jewel is Euro Persil Color Megaperls As a pretext, I generally avoid OBAs, lean to 'green', and keep fragrance to nil or very light (at least for doses that I use). Generally, my clothes are too stained, but will use a pretreater, typically Ecover or Puracy when I do Whites: Ecover Zero Powder or BioKleen Premium Plus Colors: I rotate this most frequently. Currently going through BioKleen Cold Water, but also Mrs Meyers Rosemary, Euro Persil Color, Puracy, Miele Color, Cheer, Seventh Gen Ultra Power, Ecover liquid...so many great options Darks: Perwoll Dark for light soil, but the fragrance is borderline Towels and other items that are suds factories: I'm sold on Rosalie's Bed Sheets: Some rotation, but LeBlanc is great. Synthetics/Sports/Fleece: Charlie's Soap liquid with liquid non-chlorine bleach. Additives: STPP for powders, Sodium Percarbonate for Whites and Powder, H2O2 with liquids Softeners: Not my thing generally, but occasionally Vaska or even other 'green' ones (except Mrs Meyers Lemon Verbena..artificial smell)...See MoreTide Pur Clean
Comments (45)Exactly what I experienced with the PurClean. I dumped Downy down the chute and that was that but still. This is a ridiculous amount of suds for a product that's safe in HE machines. Id call P&G before returning it. They will send you a good coupon but you need the bottle when you call than return it. I'd also send P&G a pic. What a mess you had to deal with....See Morelittlebug zone 5 Missouri
