Marvin Infinity pricing
Comments (17)The Marvin and Integrity dealer I saw told me by name who the Infinity dealer was. This salesman was upfront about not having the Infinity brand. I would have been very irritated if I had been interested in the Infinity windows and had gone to the Marvin dealer expecting to see them, only to have the salespeople be less than upfront about 1. whether they carried them or 2. who did carry them, as seemed to happen with the posters above in the thread. Marvin is treating their Infinity line like a totally different line of window, so having them under the "Marvin" brand and showing them on the same website as the other two Marvin windows is confusing. Hey - I won't even go into how their website moves you from one brand of window to another without you being aware that you had made that selection! It makes me understand better why Sunrise would keep Restorations and Vanguard window lines separate from each other and from their other lines....See MoreMarvin Window Size Pricing
Comments (7)Windows-zhang, I believe the original poster of this thread has long since resolved his question but I am curious tonight so here goes :). What is the farming material? What is the spacer used between the glass? Thickness of your glass? Air space width? What sort of on-glass coating does it have? What is the cladding material? What sort of protective coating is on the cladding? How thick is the cladding? Can you share the insulation ratings of the windows? Do you know of any standards (international and US) met by these windows? What sort of options does it have? Custom sizing and assembly? What sort of color does it offer? How are the colors applied? Is it certified to use in the US? Where is it manufactured? DOes it have wood? What kind of wood? What chemical is used in the wood? Do you have the MSDS for the chemical in the wood? Is it solid wood? How are the wood pieces attached? Stapled? How are the cladding attached to the wood? What is your warranty? Do you have US service centers to provide warranty service? Do you have English speaking call-centers in US to handle customer service calls? Do you have US regional distributors and local dealers? Why not post a URL so we can do our own research?...See MoreContractor pricing for Marvin Ultimate windows in New England?
Comments (9)Alarm bells rang when I read you will be purchasing the windows. Who will be providing to the window seller the measurements and other specifications? I am surprised your contractor is OK with this arrangement. Doesn't he have a relationship with a lumberyard--preferably Marvin-certified? And if he doesn't, why not? If you are set on Marvin windows, you should find a contractor who actively sells them. My contractor sent me to his preferred lumberyard so I could pick out which of the Marvin lines I wanted and see and touch them live with their pros and cons. The person helping me there said several times that my contractor would be providing the specs, and they'd arrange delivery with him. If your contractor's price is higher than you'd like, get bids from other contractors, and/or look at other less expensive brands. You can go on Marvin's website and see a list of suppliers in your location. But they will expect to work with your contractor. Even if they will sell to you directly, I don't even see how you can save money that way. Any Marvin supplier will not be able to charge you a contractor price....See MoreMarvin/Kolbe/Pella/Jeld-Wen impact rated glass window prices
Comments (6)I am also building a home in Houston and my mind is dizzy from all the window manufacturers I have researched. Which one did you pick? I also looked at RAM windows, Western windows, Marvin and JeldWen Epicvue. The house is going to be Modern so I just want sleek lines and black windows, without breaking the bank. So far Western seems to be the most expensive....See MoreD B
