More Rebloom Scaped
Comments (7)This is wonderful! We'll get to see pictures of your blooms through July. I have lots of rebloom coming too, but not nearly what I had after last year's flood. My Girl and Cognizant Dissonant started their rebloom scapes today. Aztec Headdress and Charmed Existence have rebloom scapes on all fans. Others will rebloom scapes are Stealth Bomber, Westbourne Good Old Days, Mister Bubbles, Lexington Lace, Better Than Ever, Edge of Your Seat, Purify My Heart, Ruby Lipstick, Spacecoast Sharp Tooth, Green Mystique, Conquest Quay, Moonlight Masquerade, Nutmeg Spice, Lady Wu and Cameroon Night. Hooray for rebloom! Debra...See MoreEncouraging rebloom scapes???
Comments (1)Other than good garden conditions, which you have covered very well, and lots of water, I don't think there's anything you can do. This year we have had so much rain here that there is never any need to water. One of our local Long Island Daylily Club Members (Paul Limmer) that gets alot of rebloom here waters every single day. And he stresses that it needs to be EVERY DAY. Most of us, myself included, would not think of watering that often. If you got lots of rebloom last year, I would say you were very lucky. I guess that you know that you should not expect rebloom up north on anything listed as reblooming hybridized in the south. Thats why I buy northern hybridized daylilies now and no longer buy those deep south bred lovelies. The same goes for my favorite west coast hrbidizer, Bill Maryott. I don't get rebloom on Maryotts intros either so sorry to say, no longer buy them....See MoreMore rebloom scapes coming up :-)
Comments (7)I think next year may be a huge disappointment compared to this year. I spotted a new scape on Mary's Baby yesterday. This is September folks, and Mary's Baby is in part shade underneath my back porch to keep the rust at bay (protecting it from sprinklers/rain). No rust so far (and I do mean so far), but a new scape in this unlikeliest of places. Can someone explain all this to me? Why so many reblooms this year?.....Maryl...See MoreFlamenco Queen reblooming with three scapes
Comments (6)No, it's an older bulb several years old; actually, these are offsets as the mother bulb was devoured by the NBF larvae but the offsets are quite large and the protruding bud looks large but it won't move any further!! There are actually two buds from 2 different bulbs but one is larger but I don't think it's feeling as firm as before. For the life of me, I don't know why this happens. Actually, it happens to me quite a bit!! Donna...See More
