I have the mat in the back of my Escape but nothing else. I do have a plastic crate to put small bags in. I actually think the texture of the mat keeps things from sliding around.

We just received a big order. My husband got the HP floor mats, I did not. The HP go up the sides higher on the front mats. They also do not have a glued on Weathertech label that will fall off in a few years from now. ☺ I think it was only $10 more for the HP. He has a 4x4 pick-up truck.

I have an SUV and got the regular Weathertech with the rear mat. No blocks. I keep straps in the vehicle and tie pots or "things" to the built-in D-rings built-into my vehicle, so they don't move around or fall over. I have a collapsible crate....but don't usually bring it with me.

I like my WeatherTech mats but I do as Nicole and bungee cord items to the D rings in my SUV. I don't really haul enough things to need cargo tech blocks.

Highly recommend! We had a similar product in our VW -- black plastic L-shaped blocks with velcro on the bottom so you could position them around whatever you were carrying. They worked great, never had anything come lose. I liked the blocks better than a crate because things can still slide or tip over if the crate isn't packed tight enough. One of our previous cars had a stretchy net secured in the four corners of the truck -- good to tuck grocery bags under but not so good for making sure milk jugs didn't tip, and tall items didn't work with that system at all.

I will get the WT mats, but will forego that cargo securing blocks in favor of some foldable soft cargo organizera that I can secure with bungie cords or nets. I discovered lots of useful car gear online. There are alternatives to the WT mats and some look very good. I wanted to get some inexpensive rubber-plastic front mats for a very old wagon, but could find any that would fasten down and I dont want any driver’s side mat moving around. so may have to hold off or spend more money. sometimes used all weather fitted mats can be found on Craigslist.

I’m going to get some of those hooks that fit oround the headrest posts to hold bags or purses. We got a used wagon that has miles on it (!!!), but car prices are very high these days. It had been well cared for, oil changed, good carfax. Loaded w good features that most people have been enjoying for 10 to 15 years already. The owner’s manual looks like a law library. I had to go high trim line cuz I needed fully articulated and heated seat. Wish it could do yard work and painting.
