I agree with all the comments about ease of cleaning. Our first toaster had to be replaced which was also breville. The magnets got so caked with grease that it didn't close properly. These were not spills but residue from grease circulating because it was in vapor form. Also the metal rack wouldn't pull out anymore. So after getting a new one and having for about a year I tried to use oven off. Bad idea! Don't use oven off cleaner! It turned my oven black and I cannot get it off. I believe it ate the finish off. This is a major flaw because the grease is released all over the oven (especially in convection mode) and leaves a grease residue on the door and where it escapes through the top of the door. Without being able to clean these surfaces completely there is no way you can make this oven last longer than 3-5 years tops. I will not be buying again and I am very disappointed (we use it everyday and like it other than that.). If anyone has a different brand in mind, one that can withstand easy off I would be curious to know. Thank you for sharing all your comments they are very helpful.

We currently have a 30" cooktop plus double ovens and a separate countertop microwave. We are also at the beginning of our remodel (finalizing layout) and about to change it completely. IF I HAD THE ROOM, I would absolutely, keep a cooktop and separate double ovens. However, I am now planning for a 30" range, plus a 30" combo micro/oven. Here are some details why I love what I have today: 1. The height of a double oven stack is wonderful. I am never bending down very far even for the lower oven. The height of the top oven isn't too high for me either (I am 5'5"). 2. I like that I don't have heat coming out of the oven while I am standing over the cooktop with other food. I am very nervous about this in the new setup; however, I am taking a chance given our space constraints and other feedback I have received. Here is why I am willing to change: 1. There are many options in the 30" range category that more than cover my needs both from a cooktop and oven capability perspective. 2. While I use my 2nd oven 2-3x per month, that isn't enough to justify giving up the space for that and a microwave. Therefore, I am combining the oven and microwave to save space all around while at the same time, having enough capacity for the cooking needs in our home. A few final thoughts: - Are you sure you want to give up your pantry space? Even though it may be too deep / things get lost, there are many rev-a-shelf or other brand accessories that can help with this problem. I currently struggle with going into our finished basement storage to get cooking appliances instead of having them at arms reach in the kitchen. - Could you retrofit your pantry cabinet to house a countertop microwave incl electrical outlet. This may not be a huge deal and you may enjoy having it hidden. :)

I also use a puller -- especially when using the lower rack. It lives in the cabinet drawer next to the oven -- hidden -- where only I know where it is! Cathy - good to know about the great customer service you received from Breville. I will keep that in mind when mine gets 'sick'. I use it everyday, so I don't expect it to last forever, but it would be nice! I also splurged and purchased an extra pizza pan so I could make 2 pizzas easily - worth every penny for the convenience. I also have the electric wok made by Breville. I love their products! Your pup looks so content! Pretty kitchen.

Have you seen the long running threads about the Cuisinart on eGullett? Part 1 (Dec. 2013 to Oct. 2015) Part 2 (Oct. 2015 to now) Near as I can tell, there is a negligible difference in actual capacity between the original CSO300 and the new "N" model. The "300N" has a redesigned (removable) water reservoir for the steam function (removable to make it easier to clean). Also, the "300N" offers the convenience of a specific setting for "steam clean" (as opposed to running a steam cycle in an empty oven on the plain "300" model.) Seems to me the older reviews will be equally applicable to the newer "N" model. I have a smaller kitchen but have been tempted by the optional steam oven functions of the 300N. Tempted mostly because Costco.com carries it. Same price (and free shipping) as Amazon. The attraction being the Costco absolute satisfaction guaranty --- if you don't like it, return it for a full refund at your local Costco. Re your question about getting both the BSO and CSO: I see no reason for that. My take is that the tradeoff between the models is that the Breville SO has more capacity (i.e. will fit a standard ¼ sheet pan) while the CSO offers the option of steam oven functions (but still functions with the regular small oven functions you get with the Breville.) My hesitation has been that the capacity of the CSO (which I saw at BB&B) seemed a bit smaller than I wanted. Very much a YMMV thing, though, as indicated by the enthusiasm in the eGullet threads.
