How do I verify that my new Blanco sinks are indeed Silgranit II?
Comments (10)Looks like I worried for nothing. I emailed and called Blanco to find out, talked to 2 different people and got the same information both times. I gave them model #s, and they verified that they were definitely Silgranit II. As for the older manufactured date on the prep sink, apparently Biscuit was the first color to be made out of the new material and that was in 2007. I guess the shipping box won't necessarily say Silgranit II, mine just say Blanco. HomePerfect was great to order from. They were friendly, packaged the sinks nicely, and shipped quickly. I ordered last Friday and received them yesterday. Both sinks look to be in perfect condition, no cracks. I would order from them again....See MoreLight colored blanco silgranit sink-staining?
Comments (34)Tuffle or biscuit would work IMO. My preference is not to go with a dark brown sink. I love dark brown wood and have it in my kitchen but to me on a sink it just doesn't look right. Our quartz is lighter that your granite slab but I think I'd still choose biscuit because I prefer a lighter color sink (helps make the room feel lighter and brighter but that's my personal preference). We've had no problems with staining but also don't have kids in the house and clean up after every meal....See MoreHow do you like your Blanco Performa Casade Sink??
Comments (1)I've only had my sink for a few months, but I like it fine. So far, I've used the basket to hold veggies waiting to peel and sometimes dirty dishes, or knives (to keep separate from everything else). I've not used it for clean dishes as you suggest, but it seems doable. The ledge itself is not that big, 7" wide (I just went and measured it) and only 3" higher than the rest of the sink...so anything sitting there is going to get wet unless you're really careful. I think the biggest plus is having a place for my dishcloth (hanging off the basket)...seems sorta silly, but I really need a place for my dishcloth (the faucet isn't an option for me). HTH....See MoreNew Blanco Silgranit Valea Sink - What Do You Think?
Comments (13)I'm sure someone else will have a more exhaustive list, but for me the selling features are more room under the sink since plumbing is to one side plus you can put pot/pans/dishes int the sink without blocking the drain. There are lots of discussions, but here is one.... Here is a link that might be useful: Offset drain...See Moreartemis_ma
