How to be sure I have latest Windows Updates
Comments (10)just as bob mentioned you click start> all programs and at the top you click on windows updates, it takes you to the windows update site. It will scan your pc for what updates it needs, you will then be asked if you want custom or express, with custom you can read about each update prior to install this is how I always did it but express will just automatically install all critical updates. Either is fine, then it will install the selected updates. on that same page over on the left side I believe is a link for viewing your installed updates. Anytime your computer is scanned for windows updates it will find any that may have been accidentally missed like you think may have happened and they will be re offered as long as it is a critical update....See MoreOutdated exterior- how do I update this stone wall?
Comments (1)I don't think you can update stone... It is a bit of melting pot of styles, isn't it? The roof seems to go with the stone, but neither of those things go with the rest of the house. The star needs to go and you need a new light. Different paint would do a lot, but I would see about removing the stone and adding wood...I doubt you could match the brick, and I think wood would be a better choice anyway...something like the vertical panels on this house......See MoreHow can I can update the facade of this trilevel?
Comments (2)1) Paint the siding. 2) Paint the front door and either put in a full glass storm door or remove it. 3) Change out the wrought iron columns and railing to something else. Style would depend on your likes. 4) Landscaping. If you're interested in seeing some virtual makeovers check out my web site, Creative Visual Concepts. Comments (13)Backsplash comes after countertops, so if after living there awhile you aren't thrilled with the black, then wait till there is the budget to do both. There is nothing wrong with the black, but people have their personal preferences and black might not be yours. Backsplash with wood kitchens looks best if kept simple. I think there are some black counter wood kitchens in the idea book I posted - most are a version of cream subway tile or similar. Do not do the small glass, multicolor, mosaic tiles. I know they are all over the home center stores, but they are no longer popular and are often too busy with wood cabinets. What looks pretty in a 12" x 12" sample is often too busy over an entire backsplash. I do have a small island in my wood kitchen but my kitchen lacks your counter space. See if you need it or not - if the present owners take it then you can decide if you are fine without it. I like mine but I am the only cook usually. It is in the way when many of us are in the kitchen at once, but I am fine with that because the extra counter space is necessary. We've all learned to dance around each other during the quarantine:) I bought mine through an Amish furniture store: https://www.houzz.com/hznb/photos/my-pics-work-in-progress-phvw-vp~93784291...See MoreMaryLou Wu
