I think white would be a nice contrast. I've attached a link to a GW member's (kellienoelle) kitchen that used Delicatus granite & a classic white backsplash. I don't think I would like a travertine with that color cabinet. The honey tones would wash it out, and the travertine might dull the cabinet color. I think a slate backsplash would work much better. Either in a subway or 4 x 4 tile. It would also add some variation of tone and texture as everything is the same color now. Do a Google search for slate backsplashes and or flickr.com and you will see many examples. Here's what I mean. Hope the person doesn't mind. Here is a link that might be useful: Slate mini brick

Rita suggested - "I would pick a plain, ceramic tile in a light color that matches the lightest color in your slab- some creamy white." I like this idea, although I would do the darkest color in your granite slab. A solid dark tile will "pop" from your cabinets and highlight the granites beauty. You mentioned you're worried about too much white.. Well, light or white subway tile will definitely be a lot of white. I know white subway tile is trendy, but I just don't see it with your granite. Dark/simple tile and absolutely no pattern. Keep it simple. (This is what I did in my kitchen. My granite is busy too and it looks great). Have fun!! :)

@Millalm yes, he does have a point lol! His suggestion is to use the diamond only on the back wall, and then leave the granite border under the pass-through and also leave the 4” border on that very awkward wall that separates the kitchen from the dining and living space. That wall contains the panel. I wish it could be removed, but it can’t, sadly. I am not sure how I feel about leaving the granite border under the pass-through and on that left wall. You can tell this has my mind going in circles lol! So many decisions and factors to consider. I appreciate everyone’s feedback. Truly!!
