please find me good chairs for the table in this space...
Comments (20)Check out Best Home Furnishings (besthf.com). They have a lot of chairs to choose from and like 700 different fabrics. They are made in Indiana. We just purchased two accent chairs from a local furniture store and ordered them from Best. I am very pleased with them. Not too expensive. We chose the Elie accent chair in a fabric with expresso legs. They were $329 each. They have an online tool where you can see what the fabric would like like on each chair....See MoreCan I fit 2 bedrooms & a 3/4 bath in space 31.5 x 13?
Comments (16)Throughout the years as we have worked on the house, we have been very cautious and done everything possible to do sensitive renovations that fit the period of the house. I too hate to see lovely old houses where people have butchered them. In fact, last night as I was once again watching "Flip or Flop" on HGTV I thought to myself how sad that they are coming in and just rearing down all of those great lathe and plaster walls. We have three kids, and our "illegal" bedroom worked as a bedroom for one of them for ten years. We just stuck a wardrobe in one corner, so we know all about using a space that isn't technically a bedroom as a bedroom. Now it makes a great office, something else that I would think might be desirable to a lot of people. We know for certain that in our neighborhood a master bath would be a huge selling point. In fact, about five years ago, a Realtor told us that this is the only thing our house is lacking. I am starting to think that there is just not enough space in the existing footprint to justify doing this. We know that many people do want move-in ready which would make doing this a selling point. However, amazingly enough, in our highly desirable neighborhood many people do buy these expensive houses and then come in and make extensive renovations like additions. We always ask ourselves where in the world do they get the money to make a purchase that expensive and then immediately also sink a ton of money in the house. Thanks for all of the help....See Moresitting space, rug okay, but now a chair question
Comments (54)val - thanks for more ideas. Hopefully I can bribe my brother-in-law to give us a hand moving things on Friday night. One of the problems moving these chairs is that they can't be tugged on the rug at all because of the texture of the rug. I'm afraid it would damage the rug. They do have felt pads on them in case they end up partway on the floor. franksmom - I LOVE that story. Hubby giggled too. I have a little 2 door Honda but I've been amazed at what I can get into it. loribee - thank you! I am starting to love it too, even with the moving around hassles. I think I want to see more rug and slightly angled. I went looking for pillows today and couldn't find any that I liked. I wanted small solid brown ones. I'll look around on Ebay and Etsy. (Please, no one tell me to make them because I just don't do that sort of thing.) I did pick up a brown throw though because we always another one of those downstairs. I also picked up a couple of lamps but think I might have messed up on the shade. I was tired of shopping and I was all the way home again when I realized the shades were those leather ones that I don't think will give off much light. We'll see. I'll get things put together and take some more pictures. And loribee, I don't NOT love the Cloes. I did go back in an sat in one with my feet tucked under me and that works. I don't think it's the leather. I think I'm just old and broken and don't fit many chairs. Since these will not get a ton of use, I don't think it matters. I do love to look at them, though. :) That counts for something....See MoreSpacing for Sunny Knockout hedge?
Comments (6)Wow what a lovely back yard!! I think your spacing is perfect. Maybe grab a couple perennials to go in between for the time being. Catmint would be so lovely there! I hope you enjoy your knockouts . I had two at the end of my walkway in pa and it looked great . I have them here too but my limelight hydrangeas have crowded them out...See MoreAmy10N
