I have a large pond, 10,000 gallons, 5 feet deep no shallow end, and no plant shelves. When we enlarged the pond I decided not to put my lilies back in the pond as my koi destroyed them and I knew getting to the plants for deadheading would be impossible. I have been growing my lilies in tanks but they just don't look or do as well as when they were in my pond. What can I use that will bring my plants up high enough? I also have a collection of lotus that don't need to be in as deep of water as the Lillies. I had thought of milk crates but was hoping someone would have a better solution. Also, I live in zone 5 so every fall I have had to store my lilies and lotus in plastic bins in my garage, would I be able to leave them in my pond this winter if I get a solution for putting them in the pond.
