What are these large leafy plants?

I thought this might be some type of broadleaf plantain, maybe Plantago major or P. rugelii. But when I did an image search all of those species seem to have leaves that look similar to these but they all looked concave, or cupped whereas mine seem more convex. The leaves on the species mentioned also seem to have much longer stems and have a more spindly look to them. My specimens were found in a wooded area with many clumps of these plants scattered around the forest floor. They are in SW lower Michigan spotted on September 16
