Not sure if you mean an all-in-one type unit, but if not take a look at the Kohler Mayflower tub. Its not too large and functions well as a shower. We tiled the walls behind and had doors made for it. The layout worked so well that we will be recreating it for one of the bathrooms in the house we will be building.

Our tub is in a corner. We've had no problems with that, and in fact I think a tub that is in a corner and actually attached to the two walls (as ours is--it's a classic 1930s tub with full tiled surround) is much easier to keep clean and dry since it limits the directions in which water could splash out of the tub. I suppose you could sit and swing, but I don't--I just step in. Oval is nice aesthetically, and when placed into a rectangular surround so it can be attached to the walls on one long side and one or both short sides, you also get a lot more room at the corners for shampoo and such than you would if the tub itself were rectangular.

If you are talking one of those angled corner tubs, they are much harder to get in and out of than a standard tub. It's better to do a "regular" tub at an angle across the corner. You will have the actual corner for a ledge but you won't have the controls in your way in getting in and out.

I tried Sweeby's experiment and I think the height will be ok for me. I don't think I'll include the grab bar. I felt that holding on to the side of the "tub" (cardboard box) in the experiment gave me enough stability to get in and out. I just have to check now how high it will be in the back. I'm having cabinets installed behind the tub and I want to be able to pull out the trays. There's always something to think about, isn't there? I'm glad you like it too, bodica! Do you have a place to check it out personally? I'd really like to test-drive it before I make a final decision, but that probably won't be possible.
