Help with Trim Color

I am painting all the trim and doors throughout our ranch style home.

My dilemma is, I started last year with Sherwin Williams Pure White, then the weather got too cold and I held off for the winter. After looking at it every day for the last several months, I feel that it looks a bit dingy and not the crisp white I was hoping for, especially since I painted my walls “Colonial White” from Pittsburgh Paint. It seems like it doesn’t pop against it (although it is a soft and pretty color).

In the meantime, I found Pittsburgh Paint’s Fast Dry paint, which I really like because I can get a lot more painting done in a short amount of time…and it’s an enamel finish as well.

So I decided to try a sample of it (untinted) on some closet trim and then I realized just how much whiter it was compared to the SW Pure white. The pictures below show the comparison. The baseboard on the left is Fast Dry untinted, the door frame is SW Emerald Urethane Pure White.

So my question is, does the brighter white look better with my walls? Is it worth it to start all over in the brighter white paint? I will have to re-paint a corner china cabinet, a sliding patio door and several large runs of trim.

I want something that I will be happy with for a long time and won’t have to do this again. I feel like I always pick whites that aren’t white enough and regret it later, so I’m tempted to start over before I get any further into this project.

Also, the SW satin doesn’t seem nearly as shiny as the Pittsburgh satin, so I’m thinking the Pittsburgh will be easier to clean.
