compost quality - how do they do it ?
Comments (1)Cedar Grove has a big extractor for metal in the compost. A lot of tools get tossed in the compost bin by mistake, along with wire, nails, whatever. These things are heavy and are sifted out. Plastics are problematic. CG does what it can but some get through. Bags, ties, tags ... all are lightweight and can end up getting chopped into bits. Some people actually bag their grass clippings and THEN toss them in the bin! Pesticides and whatnot are broken down during the composting process. Outside labs verify that they meet organic standards set by the EPA and WDOE. You can always use arborist chips for mulch if you have an arborist that you know and trust to bring clean chips (or use chips created from your own landscape)....See MoreHelp-- I have 2 hours to pick out a wall oven and fridge
Comments (6)That truly isn't enough time to do research and find a product that you're going to have to live with for many years. You may want to put a temp hold on your project while you go the local appliance store, Expo, Sears, maybe abtelectronics.com etc and see what's out there, then come back here and research those models. Eventually, and it is going to take more than 2 hours, you will find a product that will be, if not a perfect fit - and it might be that too, what you're looking for. Don't rush this or you may live to regret it....See MoreNeed help picking out a new fridge and cook top
Comments (0)We are remodeling our kitchen and am having a hard time deciding on a new fridge and an island cooktop. I do know I want a bottom freezer and have space to go up to 42". Always wanted SubZero but see lots of poor reviews. Unfortunately for the cook top I need a down draft and think I am limited to Jenn Aire. I do not have an unlimited budget so I am keeping most of my other appliances simple. Actually I do not see many good reviews for any new appliances. Thoughts....See MoreHow do I pick lighting?
Comments (6)I dont see where you need lighting in the kitchen, other then I hope there is a light in the pantry. If you had to pick a style what would it be? farmhouse? traditional? As to the bathroom, what will the medicine cabinets look like? keep in mind the door swings. so nothing hanging as there is not much clearance there. What will the faucets look like, shape and finish?...See Morejanessa_p
