That looks like a bathroom. Not sure that tile would work in a kitchen. Are you replacing the cabinets or painting them? A picture of your kitchen would help

Can you provide photos of you current kitchen? How much wall will be tiled? I don't know why that tile would not work in a kitchen backsplash - so what if that photo looks like a bathroom. Tile is tile, as long as it isn't going to be walked on or put behind a stove.

Where did you find that lovely tile? Curious as another tile hunter. I'm not sure where to start! I ordered some samples from tile bar... but where should I go next?

I would pick a solid color counter so the tile doesn't have to fight with it like it does in this bathroom.

I found it at Floor and Decor! It's calledGatsby. And yes, the photo IS of a bathroom, but I am of the same mind as Tara; tile is tile. I have very little wall in my kitchen, it's JUST backsplash and I was going to go up to maybe eye-level with it behind the stove, then do paint above as is seen in the photo. I am at work now, but will post a photo of my kitchen later. I was looking for "fun" tile for just my bar area and then I saw the room photo and swoon! :)

We went with quartzite for our slab - its natural and had better colors and sparkle. Its a tighter stone than granite, so less likely to stain, but still needs to be sealed. Quartz is manmade, and they take the small pieces of rock and use plastics to bind together. It is super resistant to stains and never needs to be sealed. You just cant put anything super hot on it or cut on it. The only reason we didnt go with quartz - we couldn't find any that we liked the color/pattern to. It is great if you want a solid white or grey, or a white and black look.

Are you ging to keep with the coppery hardware like they have in the photo? Its beautiful with it.

That's BEAUTIFUL! I see what you all are saying about competing with the counter-it's definitely a bold tile. I want it to be warm, but fun. I do like the coppery hardware too, very unique! I know I could probably find pulls for that, but I don't know that I could find a faucet in copper that would also fit my limited budget. Can you have something like a matte black faucet and non-matching pulls?

We are doing a champagne/matte black faucet with matte black sink accessories and then champagne pulls. I think you could definitely mix and match. We got our faucet from lowe's for 200ish. it wasnt bad. You might be able to find something in copper for the same price range.

200 is reasonable! I've seen $1k sinks and I assumed it'd be north of that :)

No, I looked at the floor and decor website! They have test kitchens you can put your tile choices on.
