Favorite Easy Elegance Rose
Comments (27)I love EE roses! I plan to add more next year. I have the following EE roses currently in my gardens: 3 Paint the Town (+2 more this year) 3 Funny Face (planted 2004-2005) 3 Sunrise Sunset (planted 2006 and +2 more this year) 1 Music Box (planted this year) 2 Little Mischief (planted this year) 2 My Girl (planted last year) This is a picture of my round bed. In the background (sort of) are 2 My Girl and in front are 2 Paint the Town. I do little winter protection other than rake leaves around them in fall. Usually some cane die back, but not a lot most years. This past winter was warm and I had no die back. As you can see My Girl has gotten quite large! She is in constant bloom....See MoreEasy Elegance Roses by Ping Lim?
Comments (18)I was attracted to this line of roses because they were advertised as being winter hardy and own root, so I purchased Sunrise Sunet, Kiss Me, Grandma's Blessing,Funny Face, and Fiesta two years ago. Fiesta throws long canes and didn't bloom much this summer, and Sunrise Sunset was SP'd last week due to RRD, but was a bloom machine before getting sick. I planted Funny Face next to Queen Elizabeth and she has grown tall and also is constantly in bloom. These roses shrugged off the ugly '07 Easter freeze without any permanent damage. I love these roses and plan to add the rest of the line to my garden. I purchased them from D.A. Hoerrs Nursery and Greenview Nursery in Peoria, IL....not sure if they ship, but you could check their websites. Hope this info helps....See MoreRose Elegance
Comments (4)Thanks! I have been loving this one. Now I have my last round beginning to bloom, Black Beauties. This is their first year -- can't wait to see how they look. Lilies are such wonderful flowers -- can't think of any that are lovelier. Karen...See MoreQueen of elegance is a perfect rose
Comments (12)Agreed, Queen of Elegance is exceptionally beautiful. She grew tall and upright quickly. Her color is slightly smoky and variable with warm pink in the center, changing twice more until she's almost lilac on the outer petals. She's a non stop bloomer and mine has a strong, classic rose scent. The blooms last forever on the bush. And, she's in afternoon shade. Interesting that we all get a different scent. PAoK was one solid color from the center to the edge. I removed her last year because she kept growing bigger but blooming less and her canes were like tree limbs. I've seen pix of some that are much prettier than mine was....See Morejudijunebugarizonazn8
