Did you take a look at JULIEN yet? I have an incredibly small 24 inch sink base cab ... and we cut away some of the interior to cram a 21" zero radius Julien sink into it. (our sink is the Julien - 3607 - 'UrbanEdge�' 21" x 16") Maybe they have one bigger that you can fit into your 30" sink base. Take a look at this link: http://www.sinksexpress.com/JULIEN-UrbanEdge-Single-Bowl-Sinks/ They have a 24" which you could probably fit into the 30" base... or a 27" that you could fit if you shave away some of the interior of the cabinet. Good luck! It's a pricey sink but it's realllly nice.

Ordered the s505 from Galaxy last night, and got an email this morning saying it shipped. Price was better than I was thinking as well, thought I'd have to spend at least $300. So I think I'll try the cradle option. I'm now trying to figure out a plan that will result in us having the sink out of commission for the shortest period possible. Is it a must that new sink be installed when the templater comes? Granite guys seemed to think that they could measure the sink position from where the old sink is located, the accuracy of the fit I'll need makes me wonder about this though. Update: I managed to get it out by going are the inside lip of the sink with a Bosch Multitool with the carbide grout removal blade. The blade goes deep enough that it'll get through the whole lip (about an inch). It took about 45 minutes per bowl to gradually plunge-cut around each. One thing to note is that I wore through 3 blades at around $40 each. Then I took a heavy-duty retractable blade and ran it in the gap until all of the silicone was cut. Once the silicone above the wood pieces was cut, the sink dropped right out (with the wood piece still attached).

We can make you a 33" sink with a 31" bowl that will fit in your 33" sink base. The interior of your cabinet should be 31 1/2" long. A tall family should own a shallower bowl with an offset drain. Reaching down into a deep sink is going to be a back ache. As a former kitchen designer (1977-1998, I spent a great deal of time studying ergonomics.
