Granite behind range??? Need backsplash advice please
Comments (26)Yeah --I was afraid lol but calmer now. Glad you told me that, I really was thinking someone else has access... I don't take things like that lightly, very serious when you consider this is a website where you can buy things.... You would still have to enter your purchasing info. Credit card and so on....really nothing to get that upset over when messages on a forum disappear....See MoreBacksplash advice please
Comments (9)I would wait until the counters are installed before making a decision. I have backsplash ideas myself, but even with the counter samples (I too am going with quartz...most likely) the colors look different on a horizontal plan than they do vertically. I like the Cambria Ironbridge. I have a similar counter on my short list. Here's a tile that I have considered but because I have dark cabinets I didn't want to make the whole kitchen too dark. I think it would play nice with your counters and cabinets. https://www.tileshop.com/product/nova+hex+smoke+ceramic+mosaic+tile+-+5+x+5.5+in..do?sortby=ourPicks&from=Search...See Morebacksplash advice please!
Comments (8)I would find a nice ceramic tile in a white that matches the cabinets. Your cabinets are looking a bit peachy/warm in the photos and the white tiles you show seem to be more blue/cool. It doesn't look bad with a small sample, but the cool and warm whites will be very obvious when you do the whole backsplash, which is why I suggest you match the cabinets. You could do an arabesque, but I would find a flat one, not as detailed as the ones you show. Your counters look really nice? Is it stone or quartz?...See Morecountertop and backsplash advice, please
Comments (1)The most important advice I can give you is that you should not choose the backsplash at all at this stage. Wait until after everything else is installed because it will look different once installed, and make your kitchen look different. If you choose your backsplash now, you will make a mistake. So wait. In any case, that type of multi-color thin tile you show on the right is quite dated at this point. And even when it was at its height 7-10 years ago it was problematic. Too much grout, too many lines, too much movement, overall too busy....See MoreHU-187528210
