The first one is an umbrella tree....a schefflera.....spelling?? The second one is.....I believe a yucca tree, and the third is called a madagascar dragon tree, yes the draceana family.....very cool, I have the umbrella tree, and the madagascar dragon tree, I dont have a yucca yet, but a similar corn plant....lol

Gardenia, definitely. They are much easier outside than indoors btw. Indoors, they will take full, southern sun if protected by a very light curtain otherwise east or west exposure. They like their watering, and I have been known to keep them in saucers filled with a bit of water (I can hear the protests regarding that one, but my gardenia flowers beg to differ). Winter is the real problem indoors, they hate the hot, dry heat. Keeping them as cool as possible in Winter is beneficial. Don't think of them as tropical hothouse plants...there are even species of them that overwinter outside here in New Jersey.

Hello, Is this what you are talking about? I had found a bug some time ago, wish I could take a pic of the little stinker!! It curls up when threatened, such as picking it up, and it molts. Meaning you find its old carcase that floats in water. I contacted a bug expert and had a long talk with him as well as looking up such bug species. I am a bug person, I have been fascinated with them since a little girl. I now wished I saved what I had found out about this bug I have but can not find it on my hard drive. I leave most bugs alone. There are good bugs and bad bugs. Because of my birds I do not use chemicals here or limit chemicals. I use cinnamon, or other such things to drive off or kill nasty bugs. Anyhoo the bug I have which sounds like what you are talking about, lay many eggs, so killing one if one wants to do this is not going to help. Pictures of your plant is going to help a great deal. What the article says about the bug up there; House centipedes feed on small insects, insect larvae, and on spiders. Here is another pic I found online; This is a millipede. More like what I have they eat rotten leaves and wood. A beneficial bug. No harm in other words. Hope this helps?

The Fittonia requires very high humidity to do well. It will do well either in a Terrarium or your Bathroom for its extra humidity. Don't be alarmed when it wilts in several days, when it becomes thirsty. It'll perk back up after watering if caught quickly. If not caught quickly will dry out & die quickly too. Not to bum you out, just for you to be prepared. I lost one last year as I didn't get to it fast enough. It was the only one I've tried to grow outside a terrarium or a bathroom. Don't think I'd try that again unless I can check it every day for moisture. They don't want direct sun, more bright, indirect light, like the edge of a window. While the outer pots you have them in are lovely, they're a rather tight fit for the plants. You'll have to take them out of there to water & also check frequently for water collecting down below which can rot the roots. Personally I wouldn't use those outer pots at all. That Pep is quite lovely, nice find.
