I second jamies' lampshade idea! Impossible to find the right shade for a lamp, the offerings even in the lighting stores are so limited. Attractive soap dishes and dispensers. Dishes where the bar of soap doesn't sit in a puddle of water, but drains. And dispensers for kitchen dish soap that are useful (pick up, tip, squeeze) but attractive enough to sit out on the counter all the time. Best I can do right now is a plain clear one that I had to soak the label off of!

I felt the color was a little lighter/grayer than mine. I loved the red (once they got the correct color) and I especially liked the lamp shade idea! Question, would covering a lamp shade with ribbon not be a fire hazard? Sarah said to be sure and use ___? My daughter and I didn't understand what she said. I got this yesterday at my cheapest thrift store for $1.50, to support morning glory seedling vines. But, what "was" it? Was there more to it? 32" x 20" welded metal with plastic pineapple at top.. If it held 2 glass shelves across, for instance, they would have only been 2-1/4" wide. The shape and size of the "holders" seem wrong for holding standard flower pots, wine bottles, rolled towels, toilet paper...!

I would also try a not-too-dark gray in dupioni or a similar silky material. I hope you're thinking about a nice painting to put on the bare wall behind the sofa.
