Any trouble with vessel sinks leaking?
Comments (3)I have one in my powder room and it gets a LOT of use (5 teenagers!) - no leaking issues at all. As Mongo suggested above, we did make sure to find a vanity made to accomodate a vessel sink height. We also have a wall mounted faucet and invested some time discussing appropriate height for it with the plumber before installation. I love it!...See MoreSink drain leaks

Comments (9)Randy427 - any brand of caulk you recommend? We had nightmares with our shutters and one installer using stuff that yellowed in less than 4 months. Buying it myself makes me feel comfortable it is good and not subjected to extreme temps that could impact it's use. Also, for uninstalling, does the garbage disposal need to be disconnected? Or just the pipes? Bath sinks should be easy, the kitchen is the one causing my husband worry and liking a band-aid approach....See MoreKitchen sink leak
Comments (1)Not sure if you are referring to the kitchen faucet or the shutoff valve below the sink (photo helps a lot here). I believe what you are talking about is the packing nut (old style). Usually the reason that it's not catching is because it's not fully pressed into the mating threads. That can happen because the faucet isn't closed or new packing material was added and it's not compressed. Be sure the valve is fully closed and push the packing nut into the mating threads firmly while turning. If I'm wrong about this being the packing nut - post a photo so we understand the issue....See Morekudzu9
