Begging for professional help! I am totally lost!
Comments (10)Every color (OK, just to be safe-almost every color) can look amazing when decorated around and styled. I had so many yellow walls in my current place when I moved in-I made it work everywhere (but the master bedroom when the light was different and that very same yellow looked too dark, and drove me crazy until I repainted it). I suggest you live with it a little bit and then decide whether to repaint, where, and to what. I don't know where you live but here we were quoted 5000 paint job for the room with ceilings like yours, and it was several years ago. And you really need a pro for the height like this...ladders and all. You can pick a bit different shade for the kitchen if it bugs you already-it will still flow nicely even if it's different and more neutral..just be mindful of the undertone of that neutral so it doesn't clash with gold everywhere else. I have paler yellow with deeper yellow accents in living and dining, and more calmer and neutral tan in the family room-they work together quite well. The plan is partially open, so all colors are seen at once. These windows are really really cool. Do you plan to leave the build in next to them? I think it interferes a bit with their awesomeness so to say....See MorePaint help please- SW Incredible White cabinets, Agreeable Gray walls+
Comments (14)Here are the hue/value/chroma color notations for many of the colors on the SW strip. Just because colors are on the same strip is no guarantee that they will indeed harmonize and/or in the same hue family. Incredible White - 1.59Y hue/ 9 value / 1 chroma Agreeable Gray - 2.34Y hue / 8 value / 1 chroma Anew Gray - 1.52Y hue / 7 value / 1 chroma Mega Greige - 9.96YR hue / 7 value / 1 chroma Anonymous - 2.89Y hue / 5 value / 1 chroma Mega Greige belongs to the Yellow-Red hue family (orange) Given the above information, I would agree with nosoccermom that SW Anonymous might be the better choice to coordinate with Incredible White, Anew and Agreeable Gray. Because Mega Greige's notation indicates it could have orange overtones. I'll attach a color wheel so you can plot the colors according to hue family if you want to. P.S. Many people are unable to perceive the difference between pink overtones and orange overtones and will confuse pinkish and peachiness. It's important to know if the color characteristic is indeed pink (red hue family) or peach (orange hue family) because the light never gets confused - the light is boss. So you have to KNOW what hue family a color belongs to. And you KNOW what hue family a color belongs to by measuring it to capture its spectral data (its fingerprint or DNA) and converting that spectral data into a color notation - a hue/value/chroma notation....See MorePaint Help - SW Agreeable Gray vs SW Anew Gray

Another look depending on the height of your ceilings, you could paint the ceiling anew gray with alabaster walls....See MoreHelp paint color greige? Agreeable gray? Accessible beige?
Comments (30)You say you will be replacing your furniture in a few years. I advise you take some time to read any thing and everything about decorating. Look at magazines for furniture style, colors, patterns ...in short educate your self on what you like. Investigate fabrics...not plastics fabrics ...to see what wonderful colors and textures they come in...and most fabrics are now protected with ScotchGuard or some thing similar. And please no gray.......See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
