advice please: Bona finish new vs old

We had Bona Traffic HD in Satin applied to our white oak floors. We recently got some water damage in a section of our dining room from a heavy rain (Houston), and had to rip out floors, replace and refinish.
They used the same finish, Bona Traffic HD Satin, but the sheen is much glossier than our existing. They did a good job tying the old ba new together, but the sheen is a noticeable difference.
What can be done? Should I ask them to very lightly sand/buff the new to reduce sheen? Should they try applying matte finish on top?
I hope this is salvageable!

Pictures were hard to capture the variations, but attaching anyway.
