Thanks, Brett and Laura. I opted to begin feeding lightly, and adding vinegar. There's no sun to speak of (temps here have been @51-63F, heavy cloud cover, our typical cold summer weather in S.F., and my tiny space is very sun-challenged anyway, even when we have sun in my neighborhood); and as the wind has been much gentler than usual, I opted just to leave Kishu with its sibling citrus. So far, no signs of shock or dismay, no leaf drop, etc. Maybe too soon for that--but I'm a bit surprised. I really went at that root ball, hacked away an awful lot of it, and I wasn't all that gentle, either. Will update in another week or two as to any progress or decline. Hoping for the best!

Looking good everyone. Here are a couple of mine.Cara Cara Washington Navel which had a main branch broken back when it went into the ground in 2010. It kind of sprawled out like a bush. Tarocco which has been struggling a bit this summer. The leaves get curled up and droopy when it's hot and irrigated and has not put on a summer flush as of yet. Might be because it's loaded with fruit and the tree is stressed by it, not sure. Have also had a lot of grasshoppers that I've pulled off it recently.

Remember those pics with my Meyer completely covered with blooms? Well, here's the same tree, this time completely covered with lemons, lol. I have never seen that many lemon buds survive and start plumping up. I mean, i know many are going to fall, but that's still pretty darn impressive. At least to me. I am now watering (and feeding) my trees twice a week. They're still on a 1 tsp of Vinegar/1 seringe of FP each time I water them. By the time I'm done, water is pouring down the pots and half way up the saucer. Then the fun part starts.... Draining it, bleah. I've just done a Neem drench with my last watering, by adding about a Tsp and a half of Neem oil and a few drops of soap to my water/vinegar/FP. Not taking the chance of an infestation less than a month before they go out. Speaking of which, i can't wait to put them out and have my Dining room back! Not much to report on the smaller tree... Had quite a few lemons already, that are steadily getting bigger. I'll be back to comment on everyone's trees, but I have to go take care of mom for now. God bless, . Atheen

Jan, you just love the snow don't you? lol. I like it unless I have to shovel or drive in it or when it turns dirty from cars. Other than that it's a great insulator against the frigid air and brightens up the day when the sun is out. I especially love it when it snows and it's start to clear up in the a.m. and the sun shines on all the white trees and lake as the sun starts to melt it. So beautiful.
