Thanks x3! Toni, at the top is a plain green clump of Haworthia, with a Peperomia to the left. To the left of that is artillery fern & ponytail palm leaves over everything. At the left edge are 2 Alternantheras. Bottom right corner is Peperomia prostrata. I'm not sure if others can see the tiny flower spike on it or if only I can because I know it's there. I should have said what all of the plants were yesterday, sorry. OMG Google won't accept me either. I have no idea whatsoever when in the past years I might have signed up for something with Google or what it was. Since I can't answer the questions about when I signed up, what I used, it won't send me my password even though it has my correct email address. Since it's connected to youtube, I can't use that either on vids that aren't rated G or something like that. It must be something people accidentally check because most of the vids I end up not being able to see are supposed to be about gardening. Why won't it just email my password? I feel like it's holding my email address hostage. Firefox is free too, but they change it so often. Don't get too comfy with settings, or where stuff is in the menus if you try it. Something went wrong with IE about a week after we got this computer. I've tried everything, deleting history, cookies, cache, even uninstalling and reinstalling it, it won't work. The automatic fix thing can't fix it. Hilariously ironic on this Windows computer. I gave up on 'regular' email a couple computers ago and went to a webpage-type. Obviously g-mail isn't an option for you at the moment, but lots of websites offer free email service, if you want to investigate. I'd recommend Yahoo, but my security system has a warning at the top of the page lately that suspicious content was blocked. But it also says the same thing about a lot of GW pages, depending on what ad shows up. I wish GW could find enough legitimate ads to pay the bills. PG, glad you're back from sabbatical. It's been undoubtedly more dull and less informed around here in your absence! I'm surprised if you don't have some of these guys. I think they would be quite happy at your place. They're like 'kinder, gentler' cactus, not actually prickly, less light (than baking in the sun constantly) is good, kinda thirsty when it's hot. A lot like Sans, now that I think about it. Sure don't take up much room, huh? LOL!

It should surprise you and recover from that just fine, Rina. Pot it up, water well, and see what happens. Looks as if it just received too harsh of light and perhaps too little water, and with some Haws it doesn't take much for them to redden and look stressed out. The first/original plant pictured, I would say that's definitely a match for a Haw I have indeed. Everyone would recommend being mindful of the fact that Haws can sometimes drop their roots and grow new ones in the spring, and being mindful of not watering heavily if you've found that a plant has suddenly dropped its roots (not watering normally until roots have re-grown), but I personally don't take that to mean you should automatically water significantly less than usual in the spring, especially if you're already a light water-er. Rather, with my own plants I find cutting back in the spring typically leads to an emaciated look, like you're struggling with, and my Haws bitterly complain over it. I just regularly do a gentle tug to make sure things are still rooted. (I had a Haw abruptly drop roots this spring and regrow them, for the first time, but it wasn't this plant.) And to be clear, that's not what happened with your plant, I don't think; I just thought I'd mention it. The fact that you've gotten so many offsprings from your plant is a sign it's generally happy; I'd just guess it's mainly a light issue possibly combined with too little water. In my experience smaller pups will be the first to turn red--on all windowed Haws--and complain about the injustices they have experienced. Hi guys, As I take a skewer for the growing media's humidity measurement (I let the skewer stay in the soil for 15 minutes), it appears that the water is completely dried out after a week (no moist or coolness recognised), and the leaves are a little bit soft to the touch. Additionally, I have her sunbathed for around an hour every morning. Thus, I've decided to water her once every week. And she seems to notice me that she is "just right" :)). But this has made me, again, wonder what will happen when summer arrives. Though knowing that she will be in her dormancy, should I increase the frequency of watering from once a month to three weeks or less to keep the plant from complete desiccation? P/s: My haworthia is one month old now ^^. I really enjoy seeing her growing day by day... Thank you guys for helping me out. ^v^. Darker color is usually because of the light, not because of "youth of the growth". Is it only on offsets? How much light is it in? Are the leaves soft? I see what looks like potful of Sempervivums behind, and they seem to be etiolated - not enough light. If they are in same light conditions, it shoudn't be too much for the haw.
