I agree that it LOOKS like mechanical injury, but if it leads to the eventual loss of the entire leaf, we need to look to other possible causes. If that (in the picture) was evidence of mechanical injury, we wouldn't expect it to spread to involve the entire leaf. What has your nutritional supplementation program been like? perhaps you are confusing a transplant.. with an 'established' shrub ... established shrubs... older then 3 years in situ ... usually need little or no water except in extreme drought ... as mine are right now.. with drooping leaves ... transplants.. rely on you for a supreme 'culture' of nice damp [as compared to wet] soil .. with a nice mulch to temper wild swings .. as to how often you need to water is dependent on your soil.. and how water moves thru it.. short of digging small holes or inserting your finger and actually finding out how yoru watering protocol is performing ... there is no way for us to tell you how long you have to water .. to get water down into the entire root mass of the transplant ... i might guess that your watering is superficial .. and though you might be wetting the plant .... or the soil surface.. you were previously not getting enough water.. down into the root mass .. water as you will.. then dig a small hole.. and find out what you accomplished ... good luck ken

Hello everyone, I recently started a small hydroponic tomato system. I am using a coco peat and perlite mix in 5 gallon bags. I am running drain to waste. In total I have 46 tomatoes and two peppers in the system. Everything seems to be doing fine except one tomato. I'm getting pretty good growth on the other plants, it may not be evident from the pics because I am raising the level of the media as the plants grow taller. I've kinda ruled out the nutrient solution, media, environmental factors but correct me if I'm wrong. All I can think off is a disease/pest of some sort. This plant has been affected for close to a week now and no other plants show any symptoms. I have attached some pictures. The growth is stunted, the new leaves are small and poorly formed. I would really like to identify this problem to determine the cause and any possible cure or prevention. Also I would like to know if this can spread to the other plants. I don't mind switching out the plant if necessary but I would really like to learn something here first.
