Comments (4)Is that a cedar garage door? Looks like it could be stained to match the roof. Could you afford a new garage door? Larger lanterns would help. If you go with the bronze, use that for the windows too. Can you manage changing the arched and closed entry? You'll want to keep the stucco light and bright and be sure there is lighting inside the entry. If your landscaping includes some blooms, you might want to pick up that color with the front door. Comments (16)Ignoring the large element on the right for now, the house is a Garrison Colonial with stripped-down Neo-Classical columns and pediment. Unless you're comfortable with the inherent architectural contradiction and since it would be virtually impossible to get rid of the second floor overhang, one solution would be to remove the pediment and columns, add the missing trim board at the bottom of the overhang, use a more interesting paint color on the upper part and possibly paint the brick. To add some interest to the roof you could add some dormers if the roof slopes enough to allow it.
